Haisen Technology, a supplier of airport ground support and aviation safety equipment, took part in a business matchmaking event hosted by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) in Hangzhou, where it received a visiting business delegation from Burkina Faso and held talks on potential cooperation in airport infrastructure and aviation safety equipment.
During the session, Haisen Technology's founder met with delegation members, including Ibrahim Arsène Quemba of IBNIA International and Hugo Berta of the Africa Service Center, whose name cards were displayed at the discussion table. The talks centred on the equipment needs of airports in West Africa and the role that Chinese aviation-technology suppliers can play in supporting regional airport modernisation.
Burkina Faso, a landlocked country in West Africa, is served by several international and regional airports, including Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso. As regional aviation demand grows and governments invest in transport infrastructure, demand for runway safety, weather observation and ground support equipment is rising across the wider West African region.

A closer exchange on airport equipment requirements and service models during the bilateral discussion.
Haisen Technology presented its portfolio of airport ground support and safety systems, covering foreign object debris (FOD) detection, bird-strike prevention, automated weather observation systems (AWOS) — including transmissometers and forward-scatter visibility sensors — runway friction testers, and airfield lighting. The company emphasised that African airports undergoing expansion and upgrade programmes require not only equipment but also dependable local service, training and long-term after-sales support.
The discussions also touched on certification and standards. Haisen Technology highlighted that its equipment is designed to align with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) requirements — an important consideration for airports seeking to meet international safety standards while modernising their infrastructure.
Several cooperation models were explored, including direct equipment supply, distributor and service-partner arrangements, and joint participation in airport modernisation projects. Both sides noted that West Africa's growing air traffic and infrastructure investment create a substantial market for reliable, standards-compliant aviation safety equipment.
“The aviation market across West Africa is entering a phase of real growth, and airports there need suppliers who can deliver certified equipment together with genuine local support. This event gave us a valuable opportunity to understand the delegation's priorities directly, and we look forward to turning these conversations into concrete cooperation.”

UNIDO ITPO Hangzhou serves as a bridge between Chinese enterprises and international markets, facilitating investment and technology transfer. For Haisen Technology, participation aligns with its strategy of expanding into emerging markets across Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
Following the event, Haisen Technology will continue technical exchanges with the delegation and prepare tailored proposals for airport safety equipment. The company said it remains committed to supporting global airport operators with reliable, standards-compliant aviation technology and long-term service.
